talking about excessively large communications implements, I realised today my newish phone is way too big for cycling. I used to have 3 places to put my phone:1) on a topeak stem mount, 2) saddle bag, 3) back pocket, 4) those dumbass arm bands that runners use to hold their phones.
Today I decided not to wear the cycling jersey (ok, they were all dirty because i got lazy with the laundry) so the back pocket option was out. I found that the new bigger phones do not fit any of the standard containers.

Ringing? Like voice communication? That's so 2009. Texting is where it's at.

I'm wired to the gills and five ways to Sunday.
IPhones, iMacs, iPads, Apple TV, Garmin 810, Bluetooth this and Ant that. I'll probably keel over some day from electron bombardment.
I probably need a power meter, too.

There was a group run yesterday. I briefly considered participating. It was at 8:30am. I rolled over and went back to sleep.

Gas for back up generator - check
move 2wd car out of the way to get 4wd car out - check
Ride 64 miles on road bike before snow - check
put road bike away - check
dog food - check
Check air pressure in studded tire bike - and move to the front of the line in the garage - check
Food, bread and milk - who cares
fill up the cars gas tanks - who cares
prescription medicines inventory - who cares
prepare to shovel snow plow berm at the end of the driveway - who cares. I can drag my studded tire bike over it if it's ten feet high.
Almost forgot, charge camera batteries, for bike rides in the snow. Just finished charging bike lights.

I see late-70s Coronas out and about here and there, AND I saw a sweet one on the local CL the other day. So tempting

Downstairs in the garage, of course, are three PowerTaps. And a stack of Garmins. And my work laptop is upstairs.
If dying from electron bombardment is a thing, I'm doomed.
