Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mutton. You lost him on the bike path. He was probably hit by a car.

Mrs. rjones28 worked at an animal hospital for a while and had a soft spot for the un-adoptable critters. We had several "super-healthy" animals during her tenure there.

Nina was found wandering around the mushroom houses in Kennett Square, PA.

She also had a bit of an underbite.

Worried, we took her to the vet, she was diagnosed with FIP and put to sleep a matter of hours later. Horrible out-of-the-clear-blue-sky experience and the worst drive back to NYC ever.

I'll tug the heartstrings even more with pics demonstrating her almost unparalleled cuteness -

I actually bought my first digital camera shortly after she was put to sleep - I realized that we had literally three cell phone pictures of her and nothing else. Wasn't going to let that happen again.

Thanks,
I feel like I know enough to begin racing, but not enough to really form a winning strategy.
I have ridden with a few guys who are pretty experienced with racing, they have about 40 races under their belts and placed in the top 3 in about half of them (cat3). They have really helped me out with a lot of information and tips along the way.

I must not forget to add a stupid 50g to be race legal on my bike.

Losing a pet is one of the more difficult things faced, but it's always a part of the deal. We temper it with the fact the time they enhanced our lives, no matter how short, was worth the emotion of the loss. We may not push our girls around in strollers, and let them sit on our laps while we drive, and other weirdness, but they know they are loved, and basically have it made here. So, the memories are always good, and our girls live well with us, and in our hearts.
