I ride brakeless, but in the winter months I put a front brake on. Still use my legs 90% of the time but if the conditions are truly bad I rely on a combination of legs and brake.

I've only ever seen them in 26.0 and I'm pretty sure thats the only way they come, which would explain your difficultly in finding them in any other size.

Even if they do make them, I find it impossible that it would take more of a beating over steel.

its looks similar to the cheap forte axis carbon one i ordered yesterday from performance to replace the damaged fork for my own pista.
