Here's a set Richard Bryne has in the Speedplay pedal museum. He dates them to 1980. From that entry:

Produced by Bill Grove, a pioneer BMX mechanic and designer. Grove's business, Titron BMX, made parts such as pedals, axles, seat post clamps and headset locks. Grove went on to head design for Hutch BMX and his pedals eventually became branded with the Hutch name. As BMX matured, Bill Grove's early designs have garnered something of a cult status among collectors and his BMX pedals and other parts are now both exceptionally rare and valuable. If you can find a pair of these "Holy Grail" BMX pedals now, the going rate is over $1000 a pair.

I had 2 sets of Hutch bear claw pedals. I hated them, they were shin eaters. Man if I still had all my Hutch Trickstars from the 80's, it's crazy the prices they are selling for.

Fuji Sagres in Overlea, MD

I would be on my way to pick this up if it were nearby. 1986 seems to be the year.

Interesting Flipper

I might have to buy something from this guy just so I can meet him! I don't know where he finds his stock, but he's always got an interesting selection of bikes at fair prices.

Meet at the Walmart in Lancaster

21" Schwinn Tempo $160
10 Cannondales: R800 2.8 $340, SR500 $500, Black Lightning $280, T500 $270, Black Lightening Criterium $300,
Vintage 70's Falcon with Campagnolo road bike $140

Lancaster, OH is a small town about 30 miles outside of Columbus, but far enough not to be a suburb.

$70 seems like a good deal, although the rear derailleur is not original, it was suppose to be the Suntour LePree and not the a5000, which makes me wonder how much of the rest of the bike is not original. But he only wants $70 too.

Wow, that Tempo looks to be almost new condition, if it fits you you should be strapping on a rocket pack and get there now. And yes, while you're there take a gander at the Falcon. I'm not much into older Cannondales, they rode like rocks. But the prices he's charging does indeed sound very fair.

Cannondale T1000 23" upgrades - Campy Crank - XTR brakes & Rear Derail - $1100 hide this posting

condition: like new
make / manufacturer: Cannondale
model name / number: T1000

I bought this bike new in 1995 and took it on two 500 mile trips and I road it a few times locally. It has spent most of its life stored in my dry basement. The original Cannodale catalog lists the bike as size 23." It measures 33.5" from the ground to the top of the top tube. The seat tube measures 56cm C-C and 58cm C-T. The rest of the specifications from Cannondale are as follows: Seat tube angle 73.5 degrees, head tube angle 72.0 degrees, top tube length 22.25," chain stay length 18," fork rake 2.13," bottom bracket height 10.44," wheelbase 41.60," trail 2.15" and ground to top tube 32.55." The front derailleur is the original Shimano Deore XT. The rear derailleur is upgraded to a Shimano XTR. The brakes are upgraded from the original CODA brakes to Shimano XTR with CNC machined fully adjustable center pull bridges. Lastly, the Ritchie crank has been upgrade to a Campagnolo Chorus 30-42-53 that it is basically brand new. The Diacomp brake levers, Shimano bar end shifters, fenders, racks, etc. are all original. The frame has one scratch at the top of the down tube but is otherwise flawless. I suspect I must have replaced the tires as they are in excellent shape and show no signs of dry rot. Put on your favorite pedals and you are ready to go.

I own a business in Watertown, MA hence the Watertown location. However, the bike is in southern, NH. I can bring it down to Watertown or deliver it easily in and around Boston. If you aren't local and would like the bike shipped I will take it to a local shop of your choice to have them disassemble pack and ship the bike.

Been away for a bit, coming up for air. Here are some things on eBay I've been watching, some out of curiosity more than anything.

Something you don't see often, Simplex Demultiplicator; if you know what it is and what it does, you probably know how infrequently they pop up, fair price in that regard: Vintage Simplex Bicycle Downtube 3637 L Demultiplicator 1 1 8" | eBay

Another oddball, but auction ended yesterday - Cyclo Benelux lever: https://www.ebay.com/itm/252428326313

Tall 64cm '85 or '86 PGN10 for $150: Vintage 1985 Peugeot PGN10 64cm Large Men's Road Bike Reynolds 501 Steel | eBay
Confused on year because of the crank, headset and wheels. Know it's not '84 because it lacks the seat tube braze-on, I think '85 had B10 and '86 used A9, but '86 had 700E wheels. Seller says '85, I'll go with it. Still a decent buy shipped, fair buy if you can pick up at OBO price in Colorado Springs, and a great price if you can get it at auction start price and local pickup.

Old school Wolber rim glue @ ~$7.50/tube shipped: Vintage Wolber Rim Cement for Bicycle Tires 27 G | eBay

Sure this will climb up in price, but Vintage Eddy Merckx Strada Columbus Steel Campagnolo Frameset Frame 53cm | eBay

Barn find 1970s Raleigh Competition GS @ $99, if you're in the south NY area, local pickup is possible. Not clear if local pickup is FREE, $125 shipping is stifling to me, but still worth the ask: 1970's Raleigh 22 5" 57cm Competition GS Carlton Bike Bicycle Campagnola as Is | eBay

At $12.50 currently: Vintage 80s Lotus Triomphe Campagnolo 48cm | eBay

Curious about this more than anything, what's the history? : Vintage Italian Baroncini Personal Guerciotti Road Bike Columbus Campagnolo | eBay

Bidding already ended and this bike is out of the average person's price range, but still: Vintage Peugeot Road Bike 1958 PLX 10 | eBay

Hmm...his has a 531 sticker on it, but the Team Z's were made if 753, no? If it were my size I'd try to bring it back with me this summer.

They were replicas and I guess that Peugeot made them in many different tube sets so as to reach all price points. I've seen the 653 most often, it was called the Ahena after the group set

that's an odd one, because like you said all of those came with Superbe components, so that means only 1 of 2 things, 1: someone took off all the Superbe stuff and sold it and then slapped on the 600 stuff; or 2: someone bought the bike as a frame and fork only and then had all the 600 stuff put on. #2 reason is what happened to my bike, I crashed a bike and bought just the frame and fork of a 660 and then bought the Superbe group which ended up being cheaper than get the bike equipped with how it would have came.
