With the comments from my fellow enablers in my head I finally wound up contacting the seller, the bike was still available and I had some free time so I drove over to check it out - and bought it. Of course. Turns out I knew the seller, a fellow member of the local cycling club. Bike is quite nice and I didn't have an SL-tubed bike in the mix, but I'm not sure where this is going. I'll work it out quickly and if not I'll pass it on at cost, I only have so much room. I'd say I'm seriously starting to question my sanity but there's really not much doubt anymore...

I emailed the seller apparently while you were picking up the bike. He replied right after you left with the bike. If you do decide to sell I am interested!!!

That Merckx is something you dont see every day. But the seller doesnt seem to knowledgeable about Campanutella. Merckx crono time trial 58cm full Campagnolo C-Record with Delta brakes. Ready to use or for collector.. Isnt this an early Mirage or maybe Stratos crankset? Looks like shifting would be awkward too.
