1982? Fuji S12-S
https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/d/...047239287.html
Cheap Fuji S12-S. Condition looks pretty good. From what I understand, OEM low trail, but straight gauge tubing. Also from anecdotal evidence, they make good 650b conversions (reportedly 650x38b tires with fenders fit).

Benotto
https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/d/...048821729.html
Decent looking Benotto. From a previous almost CL buy of Benotto, I came across reports of cracking around the BB while researching online. So try and verify material (certain tubing was apparently worse than others) and area of manufacture, as the Mexico Benottos were apparently the most prone to cracks. I do love the classic look though and the paint fade. Without researching further, guessing 1985 +/- a few years based on decals (and memory from previous searches). Not sure I really want to get into facilitating, but it is just around the corner from my house based on the CL map.

More along the lines of what we are used to, this Winter is for sale by the same seller as the Shimano Airlines. Seller didn't originally mention the dimensions in the ad, but he replied to my message that it's 61cm seat tube, 59cm top tube. Given that it has a front derailleur braze-on tab but clamp-on shifters, top tube cable clips and non-aero brake levers, it seems a little anachronistic. I tend to think that by the time braze-on front derailleurs were a thing, attachment of everything else to the frame would be facilitated by braze-ons and brakes would be aero-routed. Also, not sure if the rear derailleur housing is just too short or if the diver bell is a bit too close to the dropout, but it needs a little something in that area.
Overall, it's a beaut and just my size, but I'm saving my nickels up for a framebuilding class. It's not cheap ($2200), but the seller is entertaining offers.

Unicorn here, see these even less frequently than the Deauville but they're so much nicer! '88 Peugeot Chorus (Reynolds 753) looks like it's practically in mint shape. This was such a classy-ass design from Peugeot! Not quite complete, $400 + $150 shipping.

Looks like a Hi-E rear hub, dirty, $20 + ship.

Very nice looking Bob Jackson, 54cm, $950. I feel like I've seen this before. Sadly no drive side shot. I see a '72 date on rear NR mech
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Bob...l/324044461114
And this is such an oddball it's not even funny. Price is out of my ballpark, but I guess that's what you pay for a one-of-a-kind wallhanger.

You know, I was about to post how blown away I always am of the bargains you seem to have that side of the pond when this popped up. I suspect there aren't that many PARIS over there, but they are a little more common over here, and they were originally built on the road I work on. Condor cycles still offers this design as a custom build too if you want one. The BJ also reminded me that whilst you guys are lucky with the sheer amount of great quality and cheap Japanese/American/Italian bikes you seem to have we at least have a high number of those desirable British bikes still here.

I’ll have to keep that in mind! I love the look, but like probably just a few people here, I already have too many bikes and too many ongoing bike projects. The one I almost bought a year or so ago did not have diamond section stays, maybe I dodged a bullet! It hadn’t been cracked at the ST/BB though, and that’s what I heard plagued many a Mexico Benotto.

The RD cable stop looks positioned correctly, just too short housing.
If I were to get a custom bike, Erik is high on my list. He has a great grasp of frame aesthetics and his bikes are pretty unique. Not to mention he makes some great racks as well. A fillet-brazed centerpull bike from him or Jeff Lyon would be a grail bike for me.

1991 15in Trek 970, lugged, $130
Trek 970, 15in lugged double-butted, Trek DS2 shock, $130 @ Manteca (Modesto) CA area, CraigsList.
For sale is another old school classic 1991 Trek 970 Single-Track mountain bike. The bicycle is hand crafted in the USA.
These bikes are highly sought after but they are getting harder and to find and are seldom offered for sale anymore.
The bike is nicely equipped with a Trek DS2 Fork and quality Shimano DS, LX and XT parts. It currently has smaller tires installed for road/gravel riding. It also would make a great touring or commuter bike.
Frame size is 15" Small
Frame Lugged True Temper Comp ll Chromoly Double Butted
Fork Trek DS2 dual air
Rear Derailleur Shimano Deore DX 7 speed
Front Derailleur Shimano Deore DX
Crank Shimano Deore SG
Shift/Brake Levers Shimano Deore XT Rapidfire 7x3
Brakeset: Shimano Deore LX
Wheel Size 26"
Rims front Sunrims CB18 US Made – rear Matrix ATB Comp US Made
Tires CST Selecta Kevlar
Stem Control-tech US Made
Seat Post Ritchey
Seat Bontrager etc.
Please check out the pictures for more details. (Bike stand in pictures is NOT included!)
I cleaned, lubed, and tuned the bike. Everything is in great working condition. I installed new shifter cables/housing
The bike is used and therefore has some paint blemishes from normal use and handling. Absolutely nothing bad and way better than expected, considering its age.
The bike is ready to hit the road as is! Try it before you buy it!
I'm asking $130 "Just reduced from $160 because of upcoming move!"
This price is absolute FIRM will NOT negotiate! Lugged Trek 970 frames go on eBay for $200 and more!
NO TRADES -- CASH ONLY
PICK UP IN MANTECA, CA 95336
WILL NOT REPLY TO LOWBALL OFFERS

Specialized Stumpjumper Sport, 15in frame, 1987 vintage, lugged steel, $100 @ Wailuku (Maui) Hawaii area, CraigsList.
1987 steel stumpjumper sport, size 15 (small) original bars/thumbshifters and rear rollercam brakes. Cool vintage mtn bike. Not perfect, original wheelset broken, replaced w/ wider 7 speed, so fit isn't perfect, but works. Also the seatpost is a little hard to raise/lower. classic old bike good for cruising
