Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We went the entire day and still we're on the same page . . . . . that is until I ruined it.

Nonetheless I think that's unprecedented. Somewhere right now Razor is shaking his head in disgust.

G'night Razor.

Just think if I hadn't come back. Oh wait, maybe that’s why no one else is here.

Feeling a bit fatigued (and my RHR is all the way up to 51bpm, so I must be ), so Imma take a rest day... from the bike, at least. I'll be digging out a dead tree and planting a new one in its place.

Here is another bridge photo I took a few years ago. It was on a bike ride, but no bike in pic. The location should be obvious.

I think it was 4 or 5 years ago. Rented a bike on family trip there. Did a few rides, one was up to Mt Tam, a couple just across the bridge to Marin Headlands and Hawk Hill (where this pic was taken), and one epic ride starting in Oakland out to (and up) Mt Diablo.

Sounds like an excellent ride. I did not have a bike with me.

He's posted rides to Strava recently, so he's still alive... unless his re-animated corpse is logging miles on his bike, Walking Dead style.

Too early to say anything about durability or longevity, but it's made with 2mil "Premium 3M Cast Vinyl" -- whatever that means
