Certainly there will be many glory shots to follow, after the clean up, but here is a ca. 1971 Raleigh International. It is dressed in an unusual (but to my eye very attractive) coat of burgundy.
The as yet uncleaned up bike, outfitted as found in touring regalia:
The obligatory "bling" shot of chrome:
Gold Mafac 2000 levers and calipers:
Matching gold for the Fiamme Milano bars and stem:
Read about 'em and seen photos of 'em, but the first time I've seen one in person:
Geared for just darned near any sort of climb:
Lots of clean up and some (hopefully) minor paint touch up will ensue from here.

I'm glad you pointed this out, Auchen. The "Teddy Bear Lug" (or more correctly, Ursula Articulus) is a rare and little known - but highly sought after - example of British craftsmanship. Even more unusual is the almost entirely intact "face" decal, which was so fragile that nearly every instance crumbled almost immediately. This, in fact, may be the only surviving exemplar.

Here's my 71/72 Super Course getting gassed up. NJ is the last place where self-serve gas is still not legal, so this is the attending putting gas in it.

Raleigh Weekender. In what looks to be a very original condition, apart from a few nice upgrades, such as a Brooks saddle, a vintage leatherette saddle bag, a slightly less vintage AXA Cyclotronic 3 computer and the truly 70's reflection strips between the spokes (those will be the first to go). I haven't seen it in daylight yet, but first impressions are good: a full service and a wash and shine should bring it back to almost 'as new'.

Just started rebuiding my late brother's '75 Gran Sport. My sister-in-law was planning to put it out with the trash when I saved it! When I got it home, it didn't look like much. The whole bike was covered in 35 years of grime. I went over the paint lightly with some polishing compound and went nuts on all the aluminum with Simichrome. (love me some Simichrome...) Repacked the HS & BB with new bearings, trued up the wheels, installed new cables, and new tires are on their way. Then it should be good to go. Not sure what I'll do with it then. It's too small for me and too nice for the kids.
My brother bought this bike new in 1975 to impress his girfriend at the time, who was into biking. They broke up, and he never rode it much after that. I'd be surprised if it had 200 miles on it. Other than some "garage rash", it's in really good shape - the B17 narrow's almost like new. Gonna put it all back to original, right down to the delrin Simplex derailleurs and the el cheapo white vinyl handlebar tape.
