Looks to be a late '80s Trek 510. Overpriced, but pretty.

Vintage trek 022 single speed road bike - $300 (Eureka)

image 1 of 11

bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: road
condition: fair
frame size: 23 inches
make / manufacturer: Trek
model name / number: 022
wheel size: 27 in
I have a hard to find trek 022 single speed road bike. It has a campagnolo brake system and seat post, sugino GLP pedal shafts, araya rims, ofmega cx pedals, 23 inch frame with 27 inch tires. Very unique and different. Fun to ride.

^^^^^ Very early '80s, or '70s, no later than '81 with no panel behind the lettering. Description like "hard to find trek 022 single speed road bike" could go in Wacky World.

Anyone potentially interested in this bike? I might be interested in the wheels which would lower your shipping costs. I think they are probably Specialized hubs. I've been in touch with the seller. Rear spacing is 126mm.

😬
I mean, you could do worse for a first aluminum bike, right?
Someone else should take you up on this...

Campy Chorus components, two sets of wheels: one set Ambrosio clinchers, one set tubulars, incl Ambrosio rear disc wheel
Newly maintained & works very well.

Man I wouldve loved to have bought this bundle. That disc wheel is amazing.

1989 Bianchi above, SOLD

That Bianchi disc above. was worth at least 1/2 the ask, by itself. then there was a full chorus Bianchi, and 2 sets of wheels.... On top of that it was priced in Canadian dollars... Somebody should be feeling pretty pleased.

If I lived near Calgary, I would have purchased the Bianchi and extra wheelset and flipped them on eBay. $500 was a bargain.

Looks like an '83 500, with barcons installed in-service. Brake hoods probably rotted away, tires aren't far behind. Danger-fork (shrug)? No COVID tax.

Strawberry, you don't see many of these.

This one looks pretty nice.

Seller doesn't show it but this is an earlier rear monostay.

I thought we had discussed them before, besides my recent build.

The old and the new, the ying and the yang, the good, bad and the ugly, you decide.

They are fairly rare and I am biased.

Andy Newlands is Strawberry and one of the 3 original PDX builders along with DiNucci and Merz who all started in the early 70's.

I'll put it this way, if this was anywhere near my size, I would already own it, I already have a too small one of these that needs work so won't be diving in for this one.

Probably worth it to the right normal person but hard to say, this is the cheapest mostly complete one I have seen, they are normally in the $1500 range weather they sell or not.

This was his production restyle when he went to the monostay and proprietary cam wedge seatpost binder.

So hard to say, but I love it.

Set of Campy cranks for a tandem, not something you see every day.

Tapers on one crank are whacked.
