Red Centurion Turbo- warning, picture Overload!!
Hi guys,
I just wanted to share some pics of my new-to-me 1984 Centurion Turbo after some cleaning up, new tires, tape and hoods.
I know there are a couple other Turbos here, so feel free to post some pics of yours as well! We might even motivate RobbieTunes to finish building his
Hope you enjoy them!
Andres

I'm digging the whole darn bike. Man, that's nice, and my size, too.
I'm not sure I can match that beauty. I'm psyched, just need my cables/housings, incoming f/PBK.
Humbling, man. Great match on the tires. Beautiful crankset. Clean machine. Wrap is nice.
I see you got that BH Turbo looking good, too.
I'll post mine to this thread when it's ready.

Good catch on the Cateye, Ricohman!! It's a Cateye Mate, bulky as heck but I left it there because it is a '84-'85 like the bike. And it works fine too!
I'm glad you like it Robbie! Let me know if I can be of any help on your build.

Beautiful bike. I'm digging the bar tape too, what is it and where can I get it?

Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs
I have one too (Cateye Mate that is), and it caught my eye very quickly in the pictures.
I could use some of that warm weather about now - and a pristine bike about that size too. How about it?

@ akcapbikeforums: That's one of the reasons why I ended up replacing the Mate with something more modern, the "always on" thing was bugging the heck out of me too. I keep it in a safe place though, being original to the bike.
@ kpug505: Thanks! It's an older Canon 10D, nothing fancy by todays standards. I'd say main tricks are to get the camera low, to the bikes level, and to keep a shallow depth of field so you can get only the bike in focus and blur the background.
@ 4Rings6Stars: Found it in my LBS, it comes on the Torelly Tipo Uno bike. You can order it online as well, about $12 I think.
Thank you very much for the nice comments, I'm glad you like it.

Are we satisfied that the Cateyemate 3000 is supposed to be on all the time? That's what came with my 80's vintage Motobecane Grand Touring. I downloaded a nearly unreadable copy of the manual for the 3000 and cannot find anything suggesting one of the buttons controls power. I wonder how long 2 AAA bats will last. I should probably do as ascayola did and put the cateye away and use a cheapo in its place until I decide to sell the bike.
