Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I have the same noticeable "dents" from collisions of the sadle with the seatpost clamp edges, it just hasn't ripped it into pieces yet.

Bummer. I've only used mine sparingly (<1000 miles on commutes) and I suddenly was hearing a squeaking sound, like the sound of new leather shoes. Isolated the sound to my saddle and took a gander. I used a B17 for a number of years and came to realize I like boring modern designs better. This C17 was on sale and I decided "what the hell?". Huh.

I don't want a replacement saddle. I just want a saddle that does what 99% of what other saddles do.

been running c17s for several thousand miles now and all is well. looks like it was a c15 issue- being too narrow.

I've always wondered about these. Seems like the rubber would dry out and become brittle over time.

Anyone have any luck contacting brooks? Mine has started to rip as well, and the place I bought it from has gone out of Biz.

You can contact their US distributor directly at info@highwaytwo.com or (877) 395-8088. They're always really good about handling warranty issues.
