I'm assuming it wheelies like a champ?
|
I think we can all agree that no one around here has wheelie cred quite like @motrheadsroadie:

Paul Racer Meds, Chris King, etc. http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/o...psbhgjyhvz.jpg This is hotness. The red chainring bolts don't do it for me but otherwise I love it. Question: It looks like even with the rear wheel at the back of the dropout that the brake shoes are near the upper limit of adjustment on the caliper? EDIT: I see those aren't Racer Mediums. |

Looks decent, wheels are probably overkill though. Maybe throw some toe clips and straps on the pedals.
plus i'm thinking about track handlebar but the opinions are not the same, maybe i should try it (but then i must throw out the 105 levers) |
Can't go wrong with MKS steel toe clips. I'd definitely advise against track drops though.

^ +1 for MKS steel toe clips, last years and pretty easy to find. why do you want track drops/whats wrong with the drops you already have on there with hoods? If you're doing to be doing a lot of city riding as you said then track drops may be pretty uncomfortable. you're hand positions are gunna be in the drops or pretty much right next to each other on the tops.

What's up wth Surly now putting a set of eyelets on the rear dropouts -- and no place else? Kinda half-assed.

Agreed. Definitely annoyed me that there were no fork bosses or eyelets. Also, only water bottle bosses on seat tube. None on DT. Y?

Vajazzled the Steamroller and it's finally put together, hard to take photos of glitter.

http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/...517_125405.jpg I quite like this. Glitter, drops rack, and chunky tires are a super rad combo |

The nickel chain on my Klunker was toast so I replaced it with a new black one. Not sure if it's too much black, or if I dig it. Increased the ratio 2.5 inches while I was at it.

Love it. I just put red chainring bolts from Wolf Tooth on my cranks so I gotta give props to that as they look sharp. The whole build is real purdy and real classy!
