How did you get to the doughnut shop without pedals?

Or... How did you get home from the doughnut shop after someone stole your pedals?

Or... Do you own the doughnut shop and build bikes in there?

EnzoRWD I was just back in this thread and looking at your Mash SSCX again. Noticed the Oak City Cycling sticker, what's the connection since it doesn't seem like you live in Raleigh?
Lived there 2012-2014 and spent a lot of time at OCCP and was involved in Oaks and Spokes. I'm a WI and moved back home a few years ago.

Nice bike...

IIRC for at least some years of its short run - Fillmore was made with pretty nice tubing. Having said that, and it is ironic that you posted your bike just a little after a Steamroller, way back then I couldn't get an answer so even now...considering the Surly-like trackends on, it I still wonder who made those frames for Trek?

gluing BBs in the hex holes wasn't good enough so he took the pedals with him

Nice! I missed you by two years. I race CX for OCCP. Small bike world, and thanks for helping out to make the town more cycle friendly for transplants like me.

Let me know if you ever swing back through. We can shred Umstead SSCX style.

Bikes: '07 Cannondale, '17 Wabi Classic, '94 Beast of the East

Wabi Classic - 42cm/650c

I wanted to build a "n+1 fun bike" that was single speed.

Been working on this thing for the last 3 months on my spare time with some help from the forums as well.

It's not done yet but very very close.. just waiting on grips/brakes and already wanting a bigger chainring.

Hope you like..

yeah, they are clinchers with a flat area for brakes (but just not machined down)...

CHECHO Nice build! Wouldn't do it much different.

Now trade me your gold CK headset for my black one.

First thing that came to my mind was this was shot in Chicago. Was unsure of the exact location on the LF but it just rang out to me. Glad my instinct was correct. Pretty sure I have ridden this exact spot while visiting.

Bikes: Newish steel.

That new Whisky looks great. Looks great on the Macho Man on your Insta also... might have to get one.

My Zona was light AF with the ENVE fork.

Thanks, I dig it too. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet, but the fork dropped more than a pound off the bike.

I'm going to swap the seat and pedals to lighter versions as well, sooner or later.

Really nice setup! I will keep my gold CK though... so what's the deal? You're reducing weight by changing components to carbon? What's its weight? Also, what's your gear ratio?

Down to just under 19lbs. I'm not trying to cut a bunch of weight or anything, but I race the bike so I'd like to swap out some of the heavier components (not that it will actually help me win anything). Gear ratio is 39x19.
