in an effort to turn this thread around, imma highlight the really awesome FGG entries! here's one for today:
FGG #2337: https://fixedgeargallery.com/2005/aug/Jeff.htm
My Swiftfolder Fixed Gear was built with the help of Peter at Swiftfolder of New York City. I waited a bit to be in on the first batch of aluminum frames, and it was well worth the wait. The bike weighs in under 20 lbs. and handles like a dream. The bike has Phil Wood hubs and bottom bracket, a Sugino 75 crankset with a 49 tooth ring. A 15 tooth fixed cog on one side, and a 14 tooth fixed cog on the other. A gear change can be achieved with a simple flip of the rear wheel. The chain length handles either cog. This bike is a simple, and beautiful piece of functional artwork.

Hey, I like the crappy conversions, FG touring bikes, primitive cavemancycles, and one-off frankenbikes. It lets me know what other people are doing and gives me ideas for my own ride.
What do I care if yet another hipster with some disposable income has a brand-new OMFG HOTT KEIRIN TRACK CYCLE RACING ITALIAN RARE JAPANESE NJS bike? Admit it, most look pretty similar anyway, and they're out of my league.
Just sayin'.

i agree with fgg being boring now.. sorry...you can only look at so many so-so conversions when there is so much more to see out there.... i wish someone constantly posted the highlights..
fgg question: do you have to pay the 5 bucks? i sent a picture of a mint 80s track bike... 5 pictures actually ..all fine quality and withen size limits... and ended up with one picture that somehow is the worst quality pic on that site...but i didnt pay the 5 bucks.. oh well
and on tall bikes... i dont like them either.. another sorry.. but im short.. and i like my bikes... so i think thats why i like short bikes.. im sure if i was tall id think short bikes looked stupid..

I generally like 'em all, but have a special affection for the convergence, especially the old bungled and botched ones. I'll be submitting my latest tall-framed old frenchie soon, look forward to dodging the pooh flung from the monkey cages. Hey, that'ld be a great name for a rock band, Flinging Pooh.
