Flat bars chopped with stumpy bar ends is where it's at. Seriously.

I'm actually interested. Are they the very thick kind?

stek_ 11-11-07 04:18 PM

as far as I know soyo's only come in 2.0mm. if you want something thicker, CHAMP makes up to 4.0mm

Yeah, I guess I was confusing the two.

I was reading an old Campagnolo catalogue and noticed that there are two catalogue numbers for the NJS-approved C-Record hubs (better know as Sherrif Star hubs). At first I thought the codes must separately refer to the front and rear hubs, but they are listed as a set under both catalogue codes.

Does anyone know why there was two catalogue code numbers? I am guessing it must be to distinguish between a 110mm model and 120mm model - did Campagnolo make a 120mm keirin version?

Also, I saw that there were two seatposts - a 130mm long and 180mm long version, and two types of toestraps (the difference being the thickness - but again, I'm not sure).

Any Campagnolo experts out there?

I'm really surprised to see the interest in Keirin frames here. I thought you Fixers were all messengers riding clunkers that nobody would bother to steal. ;)

that's crappy. are you just gonna retire the frame to the garbage pile or see if the tube can be replaced? was there ever any tubing stickers on the frame?

parkerlewis 11-14-07 09:42 PM

All NJS lockrings use standardized thread/sizing, suntour, campa, dura ace etc...

The answer to the CAMPA NJS HUB question could be the 110 model and 120 model. Because they definitely made both from the factory. It could also be referring to the Keirin approved model with NJS stamps, and the non NJS stamped model. I have both. Some 36 hole track sheriff stars do not have any NJS stamps on them whatsoever.
As for the seatpost, I have only ever seen the shorter version.

i might replace the tube depends on cost
or just get a custom frame built
perhaps another used frame will pop up

well i ask because i have a rear 36h sunshine hub and my njs dura ace lockring will not fit.... i was thinking it could be campy threading?
