for the record if the frame was a vivalo or something i probably wouldn't care. but some things, like old cinelli bars, 70's italian steel frames and 3rensho's are sacred and should not be abused... >:[

my guess is a woman rides that bike...

jdms mvp 04-21-08 09:46 PM

i think that seat angle is like that because of the springs in the back? so when u sit on it, it will level out?

the label on the front looks Vittoria-esque. the Paselas are sort of cream-colored on the tread w/white sidewalls.

my girlfriend doesnt even know what keirin is, and she fell in love with that frame the second she saw it. and like everyone else, she was a little weirded about by the bars/stem. smart girl.

Well I take it back. But atleast that guy's got drops.

jussik 04-22-08 12:55 AM

I would rather see that 3rensho in the Jackass thread. It's hideous.

Whoever built it up would deserve a proper slapping around the head.

jussik 04-22-08 12:59 AM

But on a more positive note, here's finally my Vivalo which I was forced to acquire and build largely thanks to this thread here and the Track Bikes in Tokyo thread. Thanks to all you guys, and Parkerlewis in particular:

No these are the Zaffiros or whatever. The reason the Paselas were so much shipping it because theyre not a folding tire. :)
Big ass box.

deathhare 04-22-08 07:22 AM

Oh, according to pedalmafia the 3r above is ridden by a girl.
Her name is Tomomi and she lives in Shimokitazawa (not surprised)
I reckon she's hot. :)

Really nice bike - I like the way you've specced it - Mavics, Regal, a 'proper' chainring, and the awesome Dura-Ace stem - and it looks really clean. Is the frame new(ish)?

Well, just last night, deathhare sent me for a loop at a Motel 6 out of the edge of town. Best 1200 bones I've ever spent, that's for sure.

Anyone know anywhere in the US I can pick up white Rubino Pros?

oldsprinter 04-22-08 10:35 AM

Deathhare, I saw the pink bike above on my work computer, but turned on my Mac at home to see it and I can't! Any chance you could repost it as a link/ thumbnail/jpg my pooter will read please (trying to convince my wife she needs a better bike).

tinydr 04-22-08 10:36 AM

I doubt it's a Mac problem oldsprinter... it comes out fine on mine.
