The washer type part of the chain tensioners belongs on the inside of the dropout. Looks like you have it on the outside beneath the track nut. Unless that's just something else im seeing.

yeah your right, its on the outer dropout. whats the advantage of the washer being on the inside? i'm guessing less slippage against the track nut..
its harbor blue Rustoleum, pretty damn close! Guess what the 3mm is for? ;) |

The frame is designed for the washer to be on the inside. NJS frames are all either 123mm or 113mm rear spacing instead of 120 or 110.

So the mad frame above is:
"3Rensho World Cycling Championships Frame Made by 3Rensho master builder Yoshi Konno for Masamitsu Takizawa, AKA "The Monster," to be raced in the World Cycling Championships. Not NJS approved." |
Its off of Gabe's site and yes that frame is CRAZY! I hope someone does pick it up. I just want to see that thing built up. :)

but can someone page gabe to tell us more about that 3rensho? and maybe discuss his pricing policy as well. |
prices are "crazy" but people are STILL paying those prices, so really he has no reason to change his pricing.
i won't lie, i was eyeing his black sparkle nagasawa with disco decals , but it was sold for a calm 1030$ shipped or something |
He sure does have quite a lot of nice frames listed, though. Won't someone just hook me up with a grey Samson, 55.5x56ish, bullet shaped seat lug, chrome chainstays for $500 Ohhh how I wish...

The difficult part about having a markup so high is that he sets the prices for other sellers. Just look at supermarukai (sp?) They don't even post their prices, which I fell is a little shady. I have asked for prices on their frames and was surprised at some of them, like 1000 for a Makino. They can set the prices where they want but it def makes it harder for us to get "good prices on them." It determines the the prices for other sellers. The best priced deal I think I have found as of late and missed out on was a 54.5 Makino on KC for 700, deep marron with rainbow flake and chrome rear triangle I believe no dents/scratches. I was pretty heartbroken when I saw that it was sold. Oh well
TDHK * do I really need another frame? |
