Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i've got a pair of hiking shoes that lace like that. the end of the string tucks into a little pocket on the tongue. very convenient, actually. and quick on/off.. they get my vote.

I like these and exceeded expectations
I had a pair of those for about two months and the zippers got messed up.

[edit]I just wanted to clarify. the zipper on my pair was plastic. It just kind of disintegrated seemingly from just zipping and unzipping.

alright so i went around and got to try a few shoes on, and i ended up getting the adidas el moro, one because of the price, two because they are a little more like regular shoes(see comment about ur feet freezing when riding in the cold), and three i couldnt find the damn hammers anywhere to try on, and i cant get myself to buy a shoe off the internet that i've never worn before..but thanks for all the responses
oh yeah and i freaking love the el moro's so far, but i only got to ride them around on a bike in front of the store, my pedals are still in the mail dammit

Weird, I thought performance used UPS to ship ... All I see one their site is FedEx.

Anyone know if FedEx has any obnoxious international fees like UPS?
