Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yeah, she's awesome. Never caught any of the show or anything, though. Apparently she didn't have enough "personality" or something, which is baffling. Meh.

But yeah, that dude she mentioned who kept her away from modeling n'stuff is one my bros. BRANDON 4EVA.

I met George Clooney when I worked at Technicolor Hollywood. The room was dark and I had no idea who I was talking to for the first minute or so. He was very, very cool.

Oh, and Sivat and I used to work with Snoop Dogg's mother-in-law. Word.

By the way, I think that guy in the picture (that started this thread) looks pretty cool, actually.

Hmm. My cousin's friend dated the drummer of the Strokes, and my uncle was William S. Burroughs's secretary and parties with the Flaming Lips.

My second cousin's brother-in-law has a friend who knows a guy that did makeup for the "time to make the donuts" guy on the duncan donut commercials.

"I think that guy in the picture (that started this thread)"

that sentence structure implies that the guy in the picture started the thread.

Oh my god, I'm not about to argue semantics.
I was just clarifying what joelv meant, regardless of his sentence structure and misplaced modifiers.

Dude, that's not semantics but syntax.

Hahaha sorry. I was indeed referring to the picture that started the thread, sentence structure be danged. Not the dude. If I had meant him, I'd have said "who started this thread." I realize that the sentence could have been more clear though.

Semantics != syntax

EDIT: Hungarian guy beat me to it.

EDIT EDIT: To redeem this post...my dad shook hands with His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I once, on the docks. Just walked up to him and stuck his hand out, knowing that most people will reflexively shake hands with you if you do this. He just wanted to be able to say that he had done it. So, I've shaken the hand that shook the hand of the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
