I haven't picked up a paint brush in while and I used to be really into painting on canvas. For some reason, I stopped. After seeing these pieces I want to paint again. Thanks for inspiring me guys.

self portrait drypoint engraving. thats just the plate inked up right before i printed it. i dont have a press in my apartment so the prints came out like crap, but the plate is good. |
popluhv - Fontlab is great and pretty easy to use. I'm sure you can 'find' it somwhere.

ha, i guess. i took an actual printmaking class for two years so i definently did a lot of other mediums(etching, monoprints, etc). i can see how, they are super easy and cheaper than etching for sure. i prefer etching honestly, a lot more manipulation and such. and chombo, good stuff right there. a fine job, sir. |

printing dry point by hand is pretty much an exercise in frustration. doing any form of intaglio/etching without a proper press is futile. And it kills me inside
I have a BFA in printmaking and no access to proper facilities for anything anymore and it KILLS me. |
this is the last thing from my sketchbook i have scanned. its a little old, but... yea.
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/89/23...e822a6df92.jpg yes im a little insane. i have a *lot* of these type of drawings. |
i saw your screen prints on your website and theyre really sick. i like them alot. printmaking/ photo major here.
|
thanks. i actually started as a photo major before i decided i missed drawing.

I have no talent save shooting a few bike frames - but here's my daughter with her painting hanging in the museum's young artists exhibition here. Wish I had a shot of her Bob Dylan painting to post.

i don't have patience for rubylith unless it's a huge chunk or I drank a pot of coffee.
|
haha. i love rubylith. i find carving woodblocks to be even more fun, tho... id rather shoot myself in the face than have to paint with oils again. each their own :)
|
Kaibot - The colors in your photos are awesome.
