Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i just have them as high resolution scans. i havent traced them in illustrator yet.

Bikes: yes

ya knows how something can remind you of a song that you only know one line of? this thread is making me sing the le tigre song that goes, "my art is better than your art!" over and over again, cause that's all of the song i know.

anyway, here's a friend's art of me doing my art.

i like the little guy off locust plague soundscapes cover i decided to paint him on my wall

It's still in progress, but it's REALLY close. I really normally don't paint (I stick to freehand/photoshop/indesign/flash/etc), but I've had a lot of fun even though it's really time consuming....

I need to outline everything again on the painting and get back to work on this:

https://www.syntheticpawn.com/zsm/sup...uperduper.html to replace the ****tastic crap that my friend put in for the original site.

These look a little underexposed. Could just be what you shot though, something to definitely check out though because underexposed shots = *****es to make look good.

I'm not much in the ways of physical art, but I'm in a few bands, and I just got the idea last night for a solo type album, acoustic/pop music about a clock, love songs mostly.

there's also the project I've had in mind called plate techtoniks (sp?), where I'll take sizemograph (sp? again..) readings from earth quakes and write music based on said readings.

WWII monument, DC... some artsy shots. no photoshop but google picasa. enhanced shadows, b/w, sharpened... nothing compared to the craftsmanship that went into the bronze.

these are kind of having trouble loading... so links:one

i have burned through pages
like memories i wish to forget
used these sheets
like love lost

i have poured
word after glorious word
upon the forgiving white
i have bled

if ever did i find salvation
it was then

for a split
moment in time i lay in love

love passed through my door
engulfed me in its warmth
then in the blue tainted light
reflection of a dim dark night
love turned its cheek cold
and walked away

she stood there
in the threshold of my door
her back to me as she halted time

fall back to the same obsession
let it take this world away
return to the same escape
feeling better through ignorance
until you wake up from sleeping in the cold

Bikes: IRO Angus 53, Marinoni Special 54, LMNO Custom Road Bike, Guerciotti TT, Late 60s Bottechia Road, Univega Via Montega beater/polo/rain bike.

This is an idea I have been toying with. I came up with the name while extremely tired last night, so other suggestions are welcome. While I haven't posted any of my work [yet?] and perhaps never will submit my own work to the page, i've been toying with a daily piece of artwork blog.

any suggestions/modifications are more than welcome, as well as links to your work so i can browse through it and post what i like. i will give proper credit and have a conversation with you about the piece prior to posting it.

Got bored and put this in my living room. A few concentric circles and a little bit of paint later....

If you are going to mention the fact that they suck, don't. We all know it.

I just discovered the calming process of flyer making. This is my first one, and I guess it's kindof art. I have several collages that are too big for the scanner. Also, come to this event if you live near Frederick, MD!

just finished these. they are going to be used as gift certificates in the shop I work in. I think I like them. it was my first time trying to do multiple prints from the same block (printing and then carcing away and printing again)

Bikes: Pake

drawn in ink, colored using swatches from old magazines scanned at high resolutions. no background yet as i'm not quite sure what i want to do with it. i'll post it again when it's finished.
i know there are several logistical bike errors (i.e. lack of pedals) so try to ignore 'em.
