yeah...i know. it looks like it puts the seat alot further back than a typical frame with a 52cm top tube. otherwise, it would be my size.

definitely. the ht angle is comparatively steep - don't see many frames like that. tight wheelbase but the saddle real far back suggests that it's a 52 that's meant for somebody who usually rides a 55 (speculation) - it's a small bike meant for tall people.

those welds look ****ing SUPER.

****in' ****, man, times like this i wish don walker was around to comment on geometry and ****. he knew his stuff.

Neato, I didn't know SLX was ever made in the fluted style. I'd only seen Brain in the fluted tubes.

He told me to make him an offer, but Im not sure what's reasonable. Any suggestions?

Arabesque stuff is nice, I have an SS setup with a 600 Arabesque crank and it is great. Having said that, it is getting rare and hard to find, are you using the parts for a cheap build? With wheels/hubs and pedals too? If so, maybe 175$USD. For just the stuff you mentioned, maybe 100$USD if you really like it. The brakes are great and I have 3 bikes with 600 cranks so I think they are amazing for the quality but are you going to be able to use the derailleurs? The hubs are sweet too, I love them. I've seen newer, non-Arabesque 600 groupos with everything including seat-posts and stems hit about 225$USD on eBay.

last one that sold on ebay went for around 800, and it was super clean. 1400 is ridiculous.

edit: realized that its for a complete bike, not just frame/fork. reasonable, i guess... deffinately out of my range

Only if you promise to center mount a one-armed bullhorn handlebar on it wrapped in white bartape, and call it "The Unicorn".

Do that and you get dibs for life.
