flat clipless shoes
does anyone know what clipless shoe brands make shoes with flat insoles?
i need completely flat shoes (vans, pumas, chucks) and can't wear anything with an arch (nike, adidas, acics). i tried on sidi dominators and specialized, but neither work for me. pearl izumi is the closest i could find to being completely flat on the inside. anyone know of any other brands?
thanks.

Bikes: Azuki Single Speed, Austro-Daimler Fixed gear, Windsor Hour Fixed, Iro Jamie Roy frameset, Schwinn Moab 2, lots of old bmx bikes from walmart and stuff when i was younger.
my adidas minretts are really pretty flat. much more flat than my adidas sambas. the minretts feel about like vans slipons on my feets, but less flexible. they're two bolts though, it sounds like you're looking for a 3 bolt shoe.

Maybe it was those. But they looked home spun. Literally just a pair of vans with a little cavity carved out of the sole and some clips installed. The post is gone so I can't find the pics.
It seems like vans and other shoes are thick soled enough to make it work. Use a dremel and an exacto to make a little inset, Then you would just remove the shoe bed and rivet or bolt them on. You could use silicone or shoe goo to seal it up from water, etc.

If you do want to do it.
-rip out the insole and cut out the cleat area.
-get some thick plastic and cut it in the shape of the insole
-dremel slots for the cleat.
-put everything in place then get a new insole to cover cleat.

Check out Diadora if you can get your hands on 'em, I've got two pairs with pretty flat insoles, the ones I commute in feel like skate shoes but stiffer.
If you're a size 47, I've even got an extra pair, I think.
