your use of "scene" is what I have a problem with actually. not really any of the people that bike in SD.

The most worst thing about that pursuit bike is the 700c front end.
it was obviously made for a 650something, shoulda kept the 650 and rocked bmx bars.
would make it so much more bad ass.

This pic is what makes me love ridiculous pursuit frames. They look so goofy, but I can't imagine riding one not being fun.

That Nishiki is a road TT frame not a track pursuit frame. See: vertical dropouts and derailleur hanger.

Yes, that is one of the reasons I posted it. The guy called it a track frame.

not such a bad bike perse. but really? $400. most of us start out on conversions but really you can get a new big box track bike with better components and such for cheaper. I mean no matter how much you put into it it is still a conversion. Plus Ive ridden by this guy so many times and he cant ride for jack!
what is that jackass? It has nice parts on it! decent crank, hand built wheelset w/ decent parts, etc. Looks to be in good shape. 400 may be slightly high, but if one of my friends came to me saying "hey, i just paid $350 for this bike," I would tell him that he got a pretty good deal. Posting a CL ad this is like $50 above what you want to sell it for is normal. Also, a lot of conversions are nicer than kilos and w/e other crap you guys ride anyways.

That SLC ad is ridiculous, though. way overpriced.

Nishiki is fine...just another pursuit frame turned into FG. My friend has one that is a Pinarello, maybe i'll post it on here just to make some of you guys punch holes in your walls.

Also, what's funny about that guy posting that ad saying "....stolen...you're a dead guy" is that now the seller prolly sees that and isn't gonna meet with anyone to sell the bike, so they won't be able to catch him. If he woulda stayed quiet and just gone over there and called the cops, he would have his bike back.

I chuckled at the image of a guy in the science club yelling "YOU'RE A DEAD GUY" because of his "$600" BD Motobecane.

i'm all for adding colour to your bike. but this garish throw random bright colours on the bike is really annoying. not to mention it looks terrible.

the people that really ruin critical mass in san diego isn't anyone who rides fixed. well i can't speak for everyone because im sure there are idiots, but from what i've seen and heard, its your typical frat boy from PB riding a beachcruiser.
