I saw a guy in KC whose bike was basically a motorcycle frame with cranks and pedals added. I wish I had a picture, but it was a primer gray hunk o metal. He could cruise it pretty quickly though.

There was a guy at an alleycat in philly the other day who had a felt or spicer or something aero like that with a 3 spoke front completely painted flat black and flat clay red. It was pretty blasphemous and pretty mad max.

Those totally remind me of William Gibson's "Bridge Trilogy" and this one character, Nigel, who keeps telling Chevette she needs heavy steel and huge-ass racks and ****.
