Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Riding East on Girard, ready to make a left onto 3rd so I'm in the left lane, when a Septa bus driver heading West decided to swerve completely across the double yellow line, totally into the left lane of the East-bound side of the street, directly in front of me. Head-on collision was imminent, so I swerved to the right, got clipped by his front bumper anyway, and nearly bought it underneath the car to my right. Son of a *****.

I was born and raised in Philly too, and I go back pretty often. Yeah, there are a lot of nice bikes, and it really aint that bad like people make it out to be.

On another note, I'm stoked about the Bilenky race on the 9th. That thing sounds fun.
