i always wonder, how much less weight is it a double vs single butted tube of the same material? does it realy worth it, or the craftmanship could be a bigger part of it?

haha I have that fender too but I didn't realize it was going to be icy today. When I left the house it wasn't snowing (the streets were perfectly dry) and I was thinking only flurries for today:o
Today's the 1st time, in a month I think, that the snow has finally stuck

Make sure you treat the underside of that Brooks.

Yep too lazy to look for a shim! It was getting dark too and 2.8 focal length an only get so much light! I did not have my flash with me that time!

ahand 02-12-08 07:19 PM

nice prolly, be sure to post when that italian is built up.

JellyMeetsJam 02-12-08 07:21 PM

No more concept? I loved that bike, but this frame is a beauty too.

Your neighborhood grocery store gives away an item called a "plastic bag" free with every purchase. Look into it.

RetroSteel 02-12-08 10:18 PM

Mmm... rootbeer. Who the hell keeps that in storage for 20+ years?

rondz 02-12-08 11:07 PM

Oh I didn't even know this existed, but anyways I'm brand new to riding a Fixie so here's mine, just built it up today, it's a Pake frame with spare Bianchi Pista parts.

Or ride with steel toe boots, so when you need to stop you can stick your foot into the spokes.

Get a new fork for the Pake. They are crap. I changed mine out to a CF fork that I picked up and I love it so much more.

nateintokyo 02-13-08 07:44 AM

could you post a close-up of the frame tensioners? ;)

mine must be malfunctioning. they do nothing for my frame tension.

(okay, I'll stop)

shants 02-13-08 07:56 AM

it wasn't until he put those on that his frame became alum. it used to be a sparton.
