That Surly makes me want a cross bike.
How is the Dingle Cog (hihihi) working out with just one chainring? Do you switch gears often? the shop that helped me build it threw it on there to try out. i've thought about putting another ring upfront... i also have a pile of cogs here that i could swap out.... just never get around to it. |
My bike has gone through a lot of changes throughout the winter...

Gear ratios are all preferential, but it's stupidly ******** to run a gear that large in Cincinnati. Also, clean your chain off before you put the bike way. Geez.

You should move your rocking chair so you can get a better view of those damn neighborhood kids - then you get a good fist shaking in.
good one. But the gear is crazy.... |
Don't be hatin' because it's a Peugeot. Not done yet but alls I need is a gold chain and some cool gold bar wrap.
Anyone know who makes that polished gold bar wrap? http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...d/DSC05609.jpg More pics: http://s259.photobucket.com/albums/h...nbarger/Fixed/ |

Have you looked at the gear ratio this guy is running? It looks like 48X13 to my eye, maybe more. This forum is for providing advice, quit hating...

maybe it's fine, but 42t to 52t is a big jump and there's probably some compromise between the two that'll give you a happy medium between climbing and descending.
