Nice bike! Any idea what brand/model of bar this is?

Now I can see where the post meets the pipe. Different shades of grey.

Hey thanks. The bar is a Cinelli Tempo TT bar. Very comfy, I ride the tops + bullhorns about equally. I ride w/a front brake, and the bar is pre-drilled for internal cables, lever is a Syntace bar end.

Shiznaz 05-06-05 08:38 AM

No, its one big long seatpost... Its just got a diamond pattern scored into it on the lower half... I'm not sure exactly how long it is, but it came off an exercise bike.

here are some pix of my wrecked fuji... *sniff* check out the rear triangle's altered state. you can also see how the seat popped off the rails - trust me, them rails hurt when they cut ya. now i know.

i've already been browsing for a new ride - anyone see a low-profile track frame in a 58, lemme know.

That's one sad set of pictures. And I'm cringing looking at the saddle rails...

How's the healing process going?

healing's actually coming along reasonably well. i think when you're in decent shape, the whole process happens far more quickly than if you're sedentary. sitting isn't too much fun, but i'm ok other than that. multiple dentist visits have yet to come, but i feel like i've seen the worst of it.

it's amazing how slooooooooow you feel, walking around the city you're used to cycling in. i'm hoping to be back in the saddle in a couple of weeks.

Here's the Langster I got at the Chicago Bike Show for $250. It's currentely in charge of rain duty and is called Rainbike. I actually like the ride more than I thought I would but I'm still having trouble getting on board with the top tube that slopes the wrong way. Enjoy.

ink1373 05-06-05 07:23 PM

thats one of the nicest looking langster pics i've seen. well done.

emayex 05-06-05 07:37 PM

It had an upgraded drivetrain as well, I couldn't pass it up. I got a few stares leaving Navy Pier with it strapped to my Pac bag, it's as good as a trunk!

Thanks, the sunrise this morning was tossing around some decent rays so I figured I'd take advantage.

Shiznaz 05-07-05 09:30 AM

I like the cheese grips paired with that stripey tape

pitboss 05-07-05 09:31 AM

yeah - looks great DaveIT!

BostonFixed 05-07-05 09:33 AM

Dave, how did you take the sticker off the drive side chainstay?

daveIT 05-07-05 01:46 PM

Thanks, guys. So far I really like the bike...the only thing I found that I don't really care for is the shaping of the top tube because it makes it uncomfortable to portage the bike up/down stairs. I can get a pad to cure that though...or just jump them :p
