Just finished up the Girl's ride today. It's 60 or 70's Peugeot touring frame with Nervex lugs. I stripped and repainted it with sign painters paint. Currently set up 42x16 SS (she's working her way up to fixed). Enjoy!

Gorgeous. Do you have the specs on those fenders? I've been looking for something similar.

rykoala 05-13-05 01:52 PM

That bike is very classy! I too would like info on those fenders though.

calculator 05-13-05 02:33 PM

Thanks for the compliments. The fenders are Honjos (http://www.jitensha.com/eng/fndrs_e.html. They're kind of a bear to get on because you have to drill everything yourself, which is sort of scary due to their cost. Overall the fenders are totally worth the price and the trouble. No rattles and they look great.

Would it be inappropriate to say that I just had a little cyclogasm? Beautiful.

I just picked up a 57cm C-C, Serotta pursuit frameset - yeah! 700C rear and a 650C front end. Slope top tube. Onyx paint scheme (metal flake black) with white water-slide decals.

I walked into my LBS to pick up some tubular glue when I saw her for the first time. My eyes locked on the elegant Serotta perched behind the counter and in a blink of an eye it was over; I was powerless.

I tossed it together with a matrix of track parts today and put in thirty miles. Wow! I've owned three KHS Aeros (pursuit style) bikes but this Serotta is in class all by itself; definitely took it up a notch, or three.

Well, "you get what you pay for," and besides, eating and a roof over your head is over rated. Serotta, it's my new religion.---Jerry

BTW----Nitrox saddles look so cool.

A shout-out to Andrew and Dan (pictured) of Adams Avenue Bicycles in San Diego, CA.

A warm, comprehensive bike shop supported by able people!

Thanks guys and girl (sadly not pictured, but she should be).

*Weekly FG rides on Wednesday nights - call them for information, and or, zap em at :

20 is the max. Makes it a real pain in the ass to find tires! I wish it was just a *tad* more slack so I could fit 23's on it.

TheDL 05-16-05 12:19 PM

TNCLR: Man, that thing is all kinds of hot!

Yeah, there is a little bit. I could probably remedy it if I switched to 165's but it's not that bad. The top tube is pretty long which helps.

Thanks!

My old Wicked Fat Chance that I recently converted. Super sweet White Industries ENO hub, Dia-Compe brake on Nitto moustache bars and Technomic stem, Eggbeaters, and a 36x16 gear. Right now it's my big hill/heavy load/long distance commuter, but I'll put the rear brake back on and change the gear to something more spinnerific and put the flop on and hit the trails this summer. Glad I gave this frame a second life, it rides like buttah.

habitus 05-16-05 11:14 PM

some specs:
