recently finished this and i am pretty happy with how it rides. it is my first fixed gear and plan on buying a real fixed gear when i get my tax return but this guy definitely will still be ridden. this was just put up on fixedgeargallery and i know most of you look at that so i guess maybe there is no point in putting it up on here.

final weight was around 15 lbs... if i remember correctly. frame and fork are titanium... looking for a new fork for it actually. that titanium one is quite squirrley.

Yeah, get a new fork and ride carefully. I heard they used to crack at joint often, cos they made walls a bit too thin...

this is my bike. when i first bought it right before christmas. i put on clipped pedals, and adjustedthe saddle and handlebars. The seat tube measures 58cm c to c with a 57cm c to c top tube. Raleigh Technium Tri-Lite. The Technium frames have an aluminum (Alcoa 6061-78) main triangle thermally bonded, through lugs, to a cro-moly head tube and rear triangle. Suntour Cyclone 7000 crank clipless pedals (in the picture. i'm going to sell them) Stronglight headset 14t x 42t gear ratio (same ratio as the ever popular 16 x 48)

hey all, here is the IRO I got for a wedding gift! Its basically stock, except for the pedals (cheapo from parts box) and the salsa brake lever, I put on a shorter stem and some homebrew bullhorns I figured I will just upgrade parts as they break.

Also I would like to get some clipless pedals at some point, just not sure what kind yet.

The rear hub(1930's) is fixed/fixed currently fixed/free 14/16, I have fixed in 14,16,18,20 extras. Rims are 28" (700c) steel with cool old style tires 28 x 1 3/8 x 1 5/8. The seat is Brooks B5 from 1930's. Bars are from 50's British bike. Bike never came with brakes I added them from 50's British bike, I added them when I put the freewheel on. I will go back to fixed/fixed soon and no brakes. The cranks are from 60's 10 speed with 50 tooth, I have extra chainrings in many sizes. The bike has eyelets for mudguards and I have both black and cream Bluemels mudguards for it. The bike is not light but a fun bike to ride. The bike is used for summer evening and weekend riding, I don't live in the city and commuting is not easy for me as I would have to ride busy highways in dark both ways. On my Sunday rides I usually put on 40 or more miles. I have a few more fixed bikes I am working on and will post them in time.

it's a vetta? it's pretty comfortable, this bike is a little too big for me, so i had to lower it all the way and i tipped it down so the saddle almost touches the top tube, it's pretty steep but amazingly comfortable.

You're still riding a brake and that ugly road fork?!?

What gives?

Jesse: I bought one really old highflange hub from a ex-racer, i think it´s "Maillard".

yeah, that's what i thought. my road conversion originally came with Malliard hubs. i assumed that they weren't anything special, but it's interesting to see someone else has them (and high flange ones at that).

runnin a hi-flange maillard rear hub. solid smooth pretty.

As much as I talked **** on you for drilling your fork, i've been enjoying riding a front brake. I can get pretty nuts on my bike and not stress about it, especially when i'm doing hills in the city. I will probably put my track fork back on, but i'm going to keep the carbon fork and brake a little while longer.

high-flange maillards front and rear on my winter fixed. made in france, just like a good cheese.
