thats a classy looking bike with the matching fenders. I've been wanting to build a winter/rain bike with fenders. I guess more of a fixie cruiser maybe even SS. what frame is that? bianchi?

eyefloater 11-28-05 01:08 PM

A good portion of the loop is downhill, so faster than you think.

That is one of the nicest Bianchi Pistas that I've ever seen.

And Mike

Last night at the flat track. Good times. Adam brought the grand prize and won the grand prize-- a vegan chocolate bar minus a bite.

What bullhorn bars are those in the last photo?

Nitto... which model, Mike?

And, I meant to split up that chocolate, because, uh, we're all winners... I only won because I had that jersey (thanks to drac_vamp).

what bike are you riding adam? did you get a new bike or just using someone elses? if this was going on during the fest i would've actually stuck around.

gmcaptain 11-28-05 09:40 PM

I think the flat track races are going to be going on every Sunday throughout the winter. Come join us.

As far as coming to gainesville. Check out the flyer in the race sticky. Should be more good times.

Nitto Model 021. I picked them up from Business Cycles. They're comfy, stiff enough, and pretty light.

edit: And also, my front wheel looks amazing in that last picture. Not to toot my own horn or anything...

WithNail 11-29-05 11:58 AM

So I was thinking... I'm going to be in south florida visiting the folks for like a month from mid december to mid january. I know a couple other people who are going to be down there... maybe we could make a race at Piccolo then maybe a ft. lauderdale alleycat or there is a crit track arround the velodrome. Would there be any interest in this? I know that the track is pretty much empty... pretty much always. We could take a field trip to business cycles and a couple other shops that have some pretty nice stuff. A friend of mine just bought a vintage torelli with full campy for $600. I know this is in the wrong forum but I just wanted to get a feel for who would like to do this before I start getting any organizing done.

EDIT: wow four consecutive posts from people who live in florida! I just had to jump on the chance that maybe all of you were looking at the same time.

true, but the rider could probably stand to step into a larger frame size...

I'm kindof new here, but I want to share my rides. Neither are anywhere near to the point where I want to put them on FGG, but I'm proud none-the-less. As much as I love these, I'd really love to get a real track frame - I just haven't found any frames that caught my eye yet.

A Bridgestone that I stripped and repainted and a GIOS that I did a quick conversion to with NITTO bars. Both using 42x16, both used to commute to work and for recreation (of course).

I'd love to ride, but I work every friday night until 10pm. I will be riding, just from Elk Grove to midtown on my way home from work. One of these days I'll take a vacation day on a friday and do a critical mass just so I can meet the other local riders :)

Glad to see you are back on a track bike instead of a conversion Tim ;)

Now only if this rain would stop..
