my newest ride. just waiting on some black sugino 75's and a different fork and then it will be done. |
Had to brighten things up a little... I have old eyes. :D
http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikepics/PICT1601.jpg I like those Mutant stems and the pink brake cable is a sweet touch. King hubs too ? |
I love the Mutant, but that's seriously the most ludicrously heavy stem ever. I'm far from a weight-weenie, but if I wanted a two-pound stem, I would've gone with a quill.
|
They make light quill stems too... I had a lovely vintage Nitto quill that I gave to my Free Spirit riding friend.

Like I said...old eyes.

JDeane4, that is a cool bike! Would you mind if I make one like it? Only Green? Don't want to steal your thunder, seriously. I like that bike.

The Mutant is 280 grams in 12cm. That's heavy but not ridiculous.

The world's fastest Free Spirit...
http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikepics/FreeSpirit1.jpg I snapped this the other night while we were out... Those drops are deeeep, he must pull off the line like a rabbit! Im really a big fan of that bike, it looks like it would be a blast to ride. |
I love that "old gold" look. Any idea what those drops are?

Those drops are just some old and really wide steel bars we pulled out of the bin full of old bars when the bike was getting put together... With 84 gear inches the bike does not pull away like a rabbit (that's me) but damn, the bike does fly and I get the biggest kick out of the Free Spirit sticker that almost got removed. The frame is in beautiful shape and the Reynold's stickers are also nice and crisp. |
I like reposting pictures! It adds color to this drab site.

i think bareknuckles look just like Iros but their forks (BKs) look better. I got to test out my friends and I like the quick steering of it (of course the HT angle plays a big factor in it)
|
I love the barenuckle's fork, but that's one bold spoke card.

Steppinthefunk, that's beautiful.

Bike
My bike has turned into an art project of sorts.

the key words being of sorts. "Eat a d***," (Sharpie on Steel, 2005) ain't exactly Mona Lisa. I like the bike itself, though.

Steppinthefunk -
Still... beautiful. Damn. |
