sosso 09-20-08 06:32 PM

Wow great job theorie

thinkLove 09-20-08 06:33 PM

ditch that wack chain yo! otherwise, very clean, very nice paint job!

lisafilter 09-20-08 07:17 PM

There are worse things in the world than a purple chain. I like the build and the headbadge :) (and those Sakae cranks! - I use them on my old Trek).

estabro 09-20-08 08:40 PM

sweet headbadge +1

Rather than make a new thread, I thought I'd ask here. If you raw a Langster fork, which is Carbon Fiber, can you see the cf grain? Or does is just look like ****?

bonechiller 09-21-08 06:26 AM

What does "raw" a fork mean? If you're thinking about sanding down a carbon fiber fork, then don't. That's a remarkably stupid idea.

abeyance23 09-21-08 08:58 AM

If you are REALLY careful, use fine grain sandpaper, and just go through the clear you are ok. Otherwise, you are correct sir.

prawza 09-21-08 09:34 AM

looks like a really low bottom bracket, though i cant really tell from the pic. any problems with pedal strike?

I am well aware of my newbness but I figure I will go ahead and embrace my ignorant bliss and say that frame reminds me so much of the Batavus frame I found. I suppose a lot of frames have striking similarities.

krylon spraycans...went like this:

sanded to metal
primer coat
sand
white gloss coat
white gloss coat
white gloss coat
white gloss coat
clear coat
wet sand / buff

the paint is silky smooth. hard to believe it came out of $20 worth of spray cans.

oh yeah i think i forgot to mention that i had previously grinded off all of the extra brackets on the front and rear, and also the cable holds from the top tube and bottom tube.

Nice paint job too. When I have to paint a frame I'll follow your formula.

My singlespeed, a $22 Jeunet. The original real wheel is kinda f-ed right now so it will become a 6 speed once I've got the new wheelset up and running.

Just joined the forum, here's my Bianchi Pista. Only things that aren't stock are the clips/straps, and the LED light.

Then one for you. Don't mind the wheels, they're just temps. Trying to figure what I want to get for her.
