Uf Ive been dealing with a full blown case of walking disease since another cyclist crashed into me and ruined by 30y.o rims (yea, they were toast anyway) and then another jackass stole my mountain bike, so you have my sympathies. Still a shame to see such a nice bike ruined by a jackass driver. Im just trying to push that button and get a new wheelset for my 'cane along with the extras to make it into a fun little trackbike.

Right now I cant decide between the cpx22/mavric's from wheelwarehouse or whatever and the kilo tt wheelset from bike island. If the mavrics come with tubes/tires I may just be sold.

I dented his car, broke his passenger side rear view mirror off, and messed up his paint. My bike got ****ed...

I however managed to walk away with a bunch of scrapes and bruises. Nothing's broken!

You better throw some new decals (something very expensive) on that bike and take some photos for the insurance company...along with suggested retail price. : )

Supreme 10-08-08 01:50 PM

lol @ insurance fraud

Jabba Degrassi 10-08-08 02:03 PM

The Sputnik is expensive enough.

walking disease 10-08-08 02:19 PM

Yeah, MSRP on the 07 frameset is $525. Which isn't CRAZY expensive, but it's not like it's a pake or something. (no offense to pake owners)

@bigbris: I went to the hospital last night, got a bunch of x-rays and tests done. Everything checked out fine, luckily.

ZiP0082 10-08-08 02:35 PM

they sell framesets by themselves? nice! the fact that its lighter than other steel bikes makes it appealing to me.

why cause they're thick as gas pipe or because you cant get up to speed to do that kind of damage?

s0urce 10-08-08 03:41 PM

^both reasons I suppose! But hey, you'd still have a bike right?

Thanks man. Yeah, it was just north of the square on booneville. Nothing to ride for now, gotta wait for the insurance check.

pretty amazing!

If you see the detail photos it's an impressive transition but not a really quality one. It looked kinda shifty. that rear triangle is going to flex. and that fork is a no thanks for me.

trons 10-08-08 10:19 PM

good lord i hope nobody rides that thing

wearyourtruth 10-09-08 08:40 AM

hahaha, did anyone else notice the fork? "eh, i didn't reinforce the old fork at all, i just cut off the right side. the left will probably still hold up just fine..."

shapelike 10-09-08 11:00 AM

I imagine if the guys at Cannondale ever saw that there'd be some facepalm action going on.
