shimano 105 probably
the full range of early 90s shimano pedals were shaped like that, all the way up to dura ace
impossible to find replacement clips for

definitely true. i bought a pair of those at the local bike co-op and they didnt have any clips. seeing as how they would be totally pointless without them, i talked myself into thinking i could find them somewhere else.

nope. nowhere.

i think i know a place that has em PM me if u really need em... meh IMO though .

mugatu 10-07-08 07:24 AM

they're not comfy, and there's no advantage to using them over other pedals, unless you just have to match the rest of your early 90's shimano group

ZiP0082 10-07-08 08:23 AM

i feel like these wellgo's have the same style clips, but i could be wrong:

I'm pretty sure those clips are in the QBP catalog. I just ordered some last friday, they should be in by the end of the week. I'll let you know if they fit. But they ended up costing $15, might as well spring a few more bucks at get MKS GR9's or something. They're not that uncomfortable, say, compared to MKS AR2's or track pedals like most people seem to be running around in. You can't run double straps, though, which sucks.

And yes, they're for a mid-90's road bike.

ZiP0082 10-07-08 09:24 AM

GR9s are the best!

gr-9's with mks steel toe clips is the best combo.

After read the review for GR9 there's only one concern is the length. Would it be interfered with the front wheel (I am riding Moto Messenger 49 cm)? Thx,

I believe those are Cinelli Model 67 Pista bars. That is a 70's chrome Schwinn Paramount P14 track bike. The Nas-Track next to it is the owners current track ride. That day was a little vintage track get together through the CR list and C&V forum here on BF.

with 49cm you're going to have overlap with almost ANY pedal/clip combo. Dont worry about overlap when purchasing your pedal/clip setup, worry about what works.

my setup is mks sylvans/mks double straps/soma quad-opening clips. I absolutely love it. MKS pedals are super easy to overhaul as well.
