more than on the frame... but i knew i wanted those wheels eventually so i figured there wasn't much sense in buying other, cheaper ones in the meantime.

The CL/eBay thread on London FGSS is a great resource. It's where I found my bike.

Something you don't see everyday (pic came out better when the bike was blue):

The Collegiate is done! No more stupid threads. No more wheel trading, no more anything. I am done getting this bike ready to ride; and I rode it today from one shopping center downtown to another and it's so much more fun than I ever imagined. I'd never ridden a bike like this before, and I can't be happier with how it turned out.

Started with 72 Schwinn Collegiate all stock parts and I replaced almost everything except frame, stem, crankset / pedals and seatpost.

(Sorry crappy pictures, but I'm so happy about it)

My future plans are replace crankset / pedals and seatpost, but for now it's 100% ridable and I'm super happy with it.

Has anybody ever told you you're absolutely terrible at explaining what it is you're posting a picture of? A nearly identical bike in blue? Had your repainted? Toying around with photoshop? WHO KNOWS! It's a bigbris1 mystery picture extravaganza!

The frame was completely sandblasted clean before the powder coat went on, thanks.

Jabba, if you kept up, you would know what's going on.

How about you learn to quote people you're having a conversation with so your posts don't appear like an island, connected to nothing, rather than expecting people to wade through 3 pages of conversation just to decypher your posts?

Hey what about my kickstand

bigbris1 11-21-08 03:23 PM

Not everyone on here is a ******ed bastige. The post about the fork was a stand-alone post. Why don't you take your own advice & search if you are clueless.

given the fact he said "picture came out better when bike was blue" and the fact that he mentioned in another post getting it powder coated, you should be able to figure it out.
i'd all be willing to bet he's talking about the "reynolds" cast into the fork crown since it is the focus of the picture. use your brain jabba.

Another post, on another page, lost amidst a lack of quoting that made the conversation at best a pain in the ass to follow. Use your lips. To kiss my pain.
