The Collegiate is done! No more stupid threads. No more wheel trading, no more anything. I am done getting this bike ready to ride; and I rode it today from one shopping center downtown to another and it's so much more fun than I ever imagined. I'd never ridden a bike like this before, and I can't be happier with how it turned out.
Started with 72 Schwinn Collegiate all stock parts and I replaced almost everything except frame, stem, crankset / pedals and seatpost. (Sorry crappy pictures, but I'm so happy about it) http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/5788/bk1mh4.jpg http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/6281/bk2qd8.jpg http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/6115/bk3eo4.jpg My future plans are replace crankset / pedals and seatpost, but for now it's 100% ridable and I'm super happy with it. |

The frame was completely sandblasted clean before the powder coat went on, thanks.

Hey what about my kickstand
|
Not everyone on here is a ******ed bastige. The post about the fork was a stand-alone post. Why don't you take your own advice & search if you are clueless.

Has anybody ever told you you're absolutely terrible at explaining what it is you're posting a picture of? A nearly identical bike in blue? Had your repainted? Toying around with photoshop? WHO KNOWS! It's a bigbris1 mystery picture extravaganza!
i'd all be willing to bet he's talking about the "reynolds" cast into the fork crown since it is the focus of the picture. use your brain jabba. |

given the fact he said "picture came out better when bike was blue" and the fact that he mentioned in another post getting it powder coated, you should be able to figure it out.
