the old fork was a much nicer fork. i guess that one matches your bars though...

i dunno, i still want to pound my head against the wall that companies are putting out one-piece bottom brackets on any bike. SE must be run by the same heads as GM.

The Carbon for is a much "nicer" fork, but it actually goes on my Tri bike (not true tri bike, just what I ride during them.) Surprisingly, the Cro-mo fork is just a tad heavier. Not a high end fork. Just a Fuji branded low end easton. The Cro-mo rides smoother too.

I don't understand either, but for the price I paid (free) for the frame, it does the job. I'm more concerned about the hi-ten steel more. Have a '09 lager frame on the way.

Only takes a few minuets to replace the BB bearings after I shred them (about once a month or so.)

Finally picked up a track frame. Except for perhaps foot retention, i'm finished with the bike for quite some time.

Why?

walking disease 11-22-08 01:41 PM

it doesn't REALLY matter. but traditionally the qr goes on the non-drive side.

Actually, I won the frame in a raffle at the end of a 50 mile fixed gear/single speed race. The fact that you're insinuating that a flashy bike is never ridden is because you buy into too many negative stereotypes. Tomorrow I'm taking another 50 mile ride with a 2000ft elevation change. Try not to be derogatory. But when I do ride to Starbucks, I look very good doing it.:)

50 miles?! No way. Damn, nvm dude. You're the ****.

Clean Build

It might be sick to go all black crank and chainring

Thanks. I thought about it but I bought the crankset before I had any of the other black components so I'd have to go through selling this one and then getting a black one. Plus I think the look of white/black with a little chrome is good because I have some at the seatpost collar and some on the saddle and brakes as well so it fits in.

A black chainring & some track drops would make a world of difference imho.

That steamroller is bad-ass.

Also, am I the only one who likes blacked-out bikes with silver drive-trains?

no, you're not the only one. I do too.
also, croscoe, what caliper brake do you use? it's interesting to cram such a large tires under that caliper brakes.

The brake is a Tektro R356 (standard reach). There's still a bit of room even with a 700x38 WTB Interwolf.
