well, here is a total of 8 bars that are 25.4 clamp and aren't track bars:
nitto B-115 ROAD bar.
nitto B-135 RANDO bar.
nitto B-617 PROMENADE bar.
nitto RM-016 MUSTACHE bar.

also at universal cycles you can get:
soma oxford bar.
soma sparrow bar.
nitto flat street bar.
dimension road bar.

face it, calling a stem a track stem because it has an NJS stamp and a 25.4 clamp diameter is dumb.

No dumber than calling a stem with an NJS stamp and a 25.4 clamp a road stem because it's level.

also, an NJS stamp doesn't mean **** to anyone unless they are actually in japan and can race in a damn kierin race.

I was thinking of getting a nice frame and powder-coating it white and using my gold deep-vs but it seems that is passe.

Because people were tired of exclusively using negative rise stems on their track bikes because it basically forced them to use a bicycle that was too big for them and wanted more wiggle-room when it came to frame sizing? Yeah, score one for you, I guess...

Show that to most people and they'd call it a quill stem. Ask them if it's for track or road and they'd probably just look at you funny and say "both?" Show them the NJS stamp and give them the basic idea of what it means and they might hesitantly take my side.

yeah im 6 foot with a 32.5 inch stand over....i didnt want to go up too a 55.

you should have at least gone up to the 55. it looks like you would be riding over the front too much.

im still iffy on the size...the 53 kilo is actually 56.5 c-t....if i got the 55 it would be 58 c-t. seems huge.
