gyesswho, where does the left brake lever go to, nothing? i wanted to do that before but i figured the dummy brake would be annoying and flapping easily. looks great. red tires look good.
|
me thinks that the right is the dummy, is it secured somehow? to keep it from flapping? short housing and cable secured to bars?
|
Thanks. The dummy isn't annoying or flaps at all, plus it serves for more equal hand positions. I think it is stupid to not use them both when they offer you bullhorn and drops all in one package. Plus the asymmetry of having only one doesn't look right
*btw the right one is the dummy. There is nothing securing it, I just tightened it to the bar. No flapping at all since it's spring loaded |

i'll say all this **** to anyone's face. this bike is dumb. the re-welding serves no purpose (except welding practice) and the brake is totally unsafe. the cable pulls down in this brake to accommodate the original frame design and this type isn't efficient to begin with. look at the housing path, the age/quality of the brake, and the steel rim. why do you support this bike?

Grad student getting my Ph.D (social) . I published a paper a while back that got some press (2nd author---oh well). But really, I'm just annoyed by everything and fixing up and riding bikes keeps me sane. Are you also a psychologist. That's funny because we were both trying to help that guy build up his single speed schwinn. Ha. Psychologists are helpful.

Are you in the research sector? Yes, Psychology degrees = poverty, but it's an insightful/enjoyable poverty and at least we know how to deal with it well.
Ssdom, keep doing the things you love regardless of what other people think, especially internet tough guys. |

If you're really that interested read it, but if I start getting like 100s of porn prescriptions because people know my name, then I'll know who to blame. And if someone steals my id I'm going to find you and hurt you ;). |

its the internet, why do you care when someone 1000 miles away expresses his opinion? learn to take criticism with a little dignity.

Took this 'round sunset today, still a work in progress. The hoods were destroyed so I rewrapped my bars adding leftover tape on over and around the hood area... zoom in and take a look. i like this bike especially with the drink holder :) |
Here are my bikes. I'm about to sell my pista so I took off the wheels from the pista and put it on the fuji track. Here are some updated pics.

KHS "WINNER"...... anybody ever seen this bike before? Nice old school steel frame I am rocking a 54/16 SS ratio on and soon to switch to a 48/15 fixed as soon as I build the new wheels. I think it has potential and so far I have only spent $120 on so far ($75 of which was for shoes and cleats)... I am happy with where it is going I have just never seen any old KHS road bikes on the road before. Any comments? |

And if someone steals my id I'm going to find you and hurt you ;). I'm surprised you were able to find such a large sample group that met those requirements. Congratulations on getting the paper published. I just graduated with a BA in Psychology and Sociology, I will start grad school in 2010 after my girlfriend and I return from South America. |
still need some upgrades....such as black bar tape and to finish sanding my frame to bare metal. been hand sanding it by hand since i have no money. seat angle is a bit wonky too. dont know how to go about getting it level.

a small container of zip strip likely costs less than all of the sandpaper needed to strip an entire frame.

2. What's your location? I'm saying this because that furniture and carpet look identical to the furnishings in some of the dorms at my school. |
