C'mon absntr, you couldn't rotate that second photo so I don't have to turn my head all sideaways? :p

absntr 08-19-05 12:24 PM

Not hosted by me, I'm just correctly displaying the photos. Plus, turning your head sideways is good for you. It's good for everyone! Didn't you see that film Sideways? That's right.

I spent this morning flipping, chopping, adjusting the above posted peugeot, and came out with this:

Here are some pics from my ride up to Twin Peaks today. I actually made it up pretty easily and didn't have to walk at all, but, ironically, had to walk a good way back down for fear of wearing through my back tire.

Ofmega crank, BB, Headset, Hubs.
Tuffo S22's on Ambrosio Montreal rims.
ITM bar, Specialized stem.
Pimpin snakeskin SLR on a cheap a$$ kaloy post.
I plan on blingin' her out in the near future, probably go the color matching rim/tape/saddle route. I cant decide between red or yellow, opinions?

These pics any better?

juvi-kyle 08-19-05 05:52 PM

Mr Orbea, do not add color to that bike, spend the money on a new seatpost. And shortin that chain. That bike is HOTT!

I'm a framebuilder from Montreal and I've been lurking around here for a while. Here's a shot of my new pursuit frameset after the first coat of paint and a little bit of wetsanding:

Thanks! I loaned the parts to the Anchor but I wanted to get it rolling since you was the first to comment when I first posted the frame. The Anchor has its parts now., will post new pics also. I need to put the NJS Seat and seatpost and it will be 100% NJS... tires and all.

S/F,
CEYA!

P.S.
Ionut Cycles tell us about the frame and process of your building a frame...Welome aboard.

The Kiyo in it's current motley state of tune (no longer even trying to pretend to be all NJS):

this has sparked my interest - which tubulars are actually NJS-ified? Never heard of this before. Learn us some more Ceya.

The frame is deda zero tre steel with a straight blade track fork with 38mm of rake. It has pretty funky geometry, my own laser cut stainless steel dropouts. It's a fillet brazed frame and I left the joining pretty much raw. I didn't file down the fillets at all.
I used to work with a local builder under the brand "LeCroco" but now I'm flying solo.

Thanks, she is my "sunday best" (can jews have those?), guess I'll put my feelers out for a cool 26.8 seat post.

The Kiyo just looks so light. Like a feather. Is that the Saavedra rim on the rear?

Mann, I have a 26.8 Thomson I am selling for $35, but I am pretty sure it wont work. It is 250mm and it looks like you may need more than that.

It's am EAI Arrow "super turbo" rim. It looks sooo f'n dope but it weighs more than a Deep V. I've got a 36 hole polished Fusion on order for the front to even it out. The bike isn't heavy, but it isn't exactly light either. It is stiff though, really stiff, and responsive. I'm digging it a lot more with the bullhorns. Haven't ridden any of my other bikes in a few weeks...
