Yea I really do need a new seat and pedals/clips though. I also want to eventually get leather straps I think. Thanks for your comments. Re North bars: Heh... I have never really been into that style really, but I really could try them out when I get some money. Kinda cool. |
Finally! It's been a long winter and unfortunately spring is record slow this year but I just couldn't let my Bridgestone stay inside anymore. Here's my ride and I'm going to ride it in all weather everywhere, it's not going to hang on a wall and look pretty - oh no!

Beautiful photos of a great bike... what kind of cam did you use? Looks like film or DSLR because of the depth of field.
|
Thanks! I used my Pentax 67 with 90mm lens and a roll of expired Fuji G-100 120-film that I needed to try if it still worked.
|
Someday digital is going to match the clarity and color depth of 120 film, and that'll be a fine day indeed. I used to shoot Agfa Ultra 50 and Fuji Velvia 50 on my Rollei 6008 before I sold it, and the colors and clarity you'd get from that camera were just unbelievable. I really miss it.
Gorgeous photos. I really love the blue. |
Nagayama-san (not pictured) has soon built up my Makino! I canīt wait!

Now for my Bridgestone. XO frame ~54cm seat tube and 59cm top tube, with Paul single speed ends. Really crazy geometry that makes you want to lean all the way over that front wheel. Bought it last night and threw it together with parts around the shop. Ritchey CX Bars and the Surly hub on CR18 are the only things worth noting; everything else will eventually be parted out. Once the shop makes its next order, I'll have some RaceFace Turbine cranks on it as well.

Built my first wheel... Truing is HARD! http://static.flickr.com/43/116866285_8dba41e065.jpg Got a new stem/bar combo, courtesy of raygunner. The bars are a little rusty but they sure are pretty nonetheless. I wrapped them with velox tape which is total garbage compared to viva tape. I'll fix it next time I'm in the east bay and can grab another roll. Kinda miss my champ grips though. http://static.flickr.com/45/116866284_23056f6e00.jpg Got this from 165_somethingsomething_somethingelse, of the gold Romani fame.. Makes me laugh. My spray paint job is starting to get pretty banged up. Oh well! |
nice to see you got that stem in there! Looks wonderful!
