Just tell 'em you ride so fast that you are pegged up against it at all times.

Yeah that's pretty much for ******** sure. As long as you're the one being slathered with vinegar.

since that picture was taken i have lowered the seatpost and adjusted the saddle to be slightly more level with the top tube.
i am a tall rider (6'4") so the tight geometry gets to be a little tricky at times, but despite my stature i am fairly flexible and compact and able to really get down in the drops when i want to (often).
i have never had a problem with slipping off of the saddle, and most of that weight goes to my legs and not my wrists.
also, i've been lurking for awhile but i don't think i've ever introduced my self on these forums. i'm 10x, or chuk amuk from brooklyn, ny. for all intents and purposes of this community i love building, riding, talking, and learning more about bicycles. yes!
back to lurking...

I think I saw that Leader on the westside greenway yesterday, near chelsea piers.

My first fixed gear. Took advantage of Tony's reopening sale awhile back, and a few months of intense ebay scouring later, here we are. Its amazing, and I've since sold my geared bike (partly knowing that I'd never ride it much again, partly to justify this wheelset)! 48x17 has been ok so far, if a bit on the high side. Though Boston on a whole is pretty flat, I live on one of the few small but steep hills in my area, and my girlfriend is on mission hill, so I've been getting a good workout recently.

I couldn't have built this up without lurking around here for what seems like ages now, so thanks to everybody who indirectly answered my questions!

that is one beat up saddle. is there any reason you have a front fender but not a back?

saddle still comfy! clearance no good in back unless i put 'notha link in the chain and i'm lazy. i have a clip-on sks xtradry thing that works great, so fugit. this is my bike that i'm never gonna stress over, just pure transportation through the city.

eyefloater 05-25-06 10:21 PM

+1 the ugly saddle.

Wait 'till you see my Selle San Marco Rolls ... it used to be yellow ... a few decades ago. ;)

kennethalan 05-25-06 10:56 PM

Once again HyperRevue built a great bike and took a **** photo of it.
Nice bike ****. I'm glad we won't have to read your *****ing about how you can't find a canondale in your size anymore.

jonb 05-25-06 11:20 PM

if that cdale were the blue version then i would once again be in love.

Here's my Schwinn single speed. One gear makes life simple. Fixed makes it ultimate simple.

HR, at this point the only reference to your name is in the quote you posted. Get your edit on and your secret identity will once again be safe.
