edit: its not fixed, but i've caught her several times trying
out my track bike ...i know she wants that fixed cog action.

Are those the nitto promenade bars?

ZachS 07-11-06 08:00 PM

they look like one variation or another.

what the yellow bike really needs is a front basket.

hey, thanks... i assume you're talking about mine. yeah, those are big, bloody bullhorns. i ripped a bus in half with them just yesterday.
i'm actually thinking about getting something a little less, um, looong. wouldn't want people to think i was compensating for something. gulp.

i must have those bars. you will tell me what kind they are IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

ross46x14 07-12-06 12:10 AM

Well, it started out like this:
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...f/S4010050.jpg
I painted it myself which was a good time. I wanted to give it an older look with the browns. Running 46X14 hence the username. I kept it really cheap: Suzue hub, I used the same wheels that were on the bike when I found it, got some used shimano 600 cranks, and a used bontrager seat. Really not too much to scream about compared to all the great bikes out there, but it has been very enjoyable so far. I ride it all the time. Moving to North Carolina soon so I think the gearing will change at some point.
