my bianchi baby. don't have many pics... wish i had a camera!

onetwentyeight 09-09-06 11:42 AM

your fly is open. what kind of hub is that? you dont see many people with quick release rear wheels...

zippered 09-09-06 01:25 PM

never heard that one before... ;)

i inherited the wheet set, was given a cassette that was then broken apart and put with a bunch of spacers! i know all too well why quick release isn't used... it sucks and i keep meaning to change it so i don't have my chain loosening up all the time! not to mention sliping off!

edit for reading comprehension: they're mavic ksyrium

i think i saw this frame in the shop. the owner/builder was sad it wasn't being ridden. rap frames look so sleek.

The frame is unknown, if anyone can identify i would be quite pleased. I traded member "dmc" my bareknuckle frame for it, which was too small for me. he did not know either. It was painted by Keith Anderson at some point a pretty pearl white.
Clues: Italian, VERY tight geo. Not drilled. Columbus fork ends and lugs, too, i'm pretty sure. BB stamped C-69-1 and then 8 on the other end.
58 st, 57 tt.

parts make it a mutt anyhow...

Campy NR headset
Shimano UN53 BB
32h Suntour Superbe Pro Hubs laced to non-machined Sun M13's (cheap and fit perfect for the rim transfer from tubs)
Superbe Pro Cranks 167.5 w/48T sugino mighty ring
Campy NR aeropost
Maroon B17
Surly 18T cog
MKS sylvans and M clips
cheap 80mm stem and track drops, brown cloth tape

i ride this everyday in philly.

You're not doing it right if the chain loosens up. QRs work just as well as track nuts. That little lever puts a ****-ton of force on the dropouts when it's tight. Remember, if there isn't a mark on your hand when it closes, it's to loose.

Here is a little thing I picked up in Mumbai, India with doing some traveling... by little I mean about 40lbs of goodness...this one was made specially for a well known hindu temple..I bought it from a Hindu guy at the temple for about 10 US dollars. I know you'll be suprised to know that it is all stock.

the other is my BLINGed out pista, camp track hubs on mavic clinchies, camp pista cranks with the yellow inlay, delta brake, brooks saddle. ciocc track fork, and i think thats it.... beauty and the beast...
