Yeah, the look like they were made from hot pink socks, or a hot pink beanie.

No more than your wheels, stem/bars, saddle/seatpost, pedals, etc. etc. etc.

A couple of well placed zip ties will protect you from convenience thieves.

newo 09-19-06 11:47 PM

shants what bars are those?

zklone 09-20-06 01:57 AM

f*** the bars, but pink saddle?

shants 09-20-06 05:55 AM

the saddle is a selle italia turbo gel (hah!) and the bars are nitto rb021 pursuit bullhorns.

eyefloater 09-20-06 06:40 AM

We're all reeling from the day-glo horror that you've accessorized the bike with, but what's the frameset?

LóFarkas 09-20-06 06:47 AM

Shants: I'm not sure if it's a reincarnation of your earlier clown bike, or you have both or whatever, but it definitely needs the other 2 tt pads, coloured tyres and all that.

Loving the TT pad and the lettering.

Aeroplane 09-20-06 07:19 AM

What kind of frame is this? Those lugs are gorgeous.

shants 09-20-06 07:45 AM

it's a 1974 gitane super pista. i love the **** out of some french bikes.

dylandom 09-20-06 08:48 AM

piratelove 09-20-06 09:42 AM

What kind of grips are those? tiiight. Looks good.

shants 09-20-06 10:10 AM

3 fixed gears and i will soon have a road bike. i have the mapei hat and i also wear the dumbest ****ing colnago winter cycling cap.

Hah, that bike is crazy. Looks like between the stem drop, and the extension/drop of the bullhorns, that you had to pull your saddle way forward. Doesn't look like it'd be rideable out on the bullhorns!

shants 09-20-06 01:00 PM

the seatpost clamps the saddle about mid-way on the rails. pedals seems most natural in that position. also, i actually do 75% of my riding out on the horns with this bike. it feels comfortable to me. although, i haven't done any really long rides with it yet.

DerekRI 09-20-06 01:03 PM

Pic of you riding on the horns, please! With the winter cap on, preferably.

..............word .

eurotrash666 09-21-06 12:04 AM

how often do you have to change the batteries in those vibrator grips?

the bike doesn't look too stretched out. i live on the ends of my bullhorns. low tuck rules.

germs 09-21-06 05:53 AM

My pink wheel set found a new home in Japan. I want to change out seat and bars at some point, but I'm too busy building up my new 3Rensho road frame. Plus, I seem to crash more than I should so there's no point in making it too fancy.
