I'm not saying they're intentionally trying to deceive the public. It's just a innocent situation that probably only helps their sales and one that they're probably in no hurry to clarify for that reason.

I agree with it. A lot of people are mislead by that -- I understand the pride in having something built/designed/crafted in the USA, but there's something a bit shady about that too.

I much prefer the "Designed in USA" labels I've seen rather than the "Crafted in the USA".

I'll see if I can find some pictures of my first fixie, a Fetish with all the decals removed, Planet X straight bladed carbon fork, black non-machined deep-vs, deda elementi pista bars, fsa vigo's crankset, red rubinos, and red turbomatic saddle.

screamingveg 05-22-06 08:47 AM

Ooer!

I wanna see pics of that.

All you need to do is spend four years in college, graduate, and send announcements to a whole bunch of rich people so they know to send you money.

operator 05-22-06 10:00 AM

You don't need college for that.

And is a Ph.D. good enought to do that?...

screamingveg 05-22-06 11:18 AM

No, people stop paying attention after the Bachelor degree.

This is my bike. I realize that I didn't take the picture on the drive side, but there isn't anything spectacular to see, so who cares? It's a nishiki road frame, with an ancient brooks saddle. It is a fixed conversion. I don't know what the cranks are, they came with the bike. I love this bike, it is very comfortable for me, and being comfortable is way cool.

pretty tall lady, eh? <3 the bullhorns

conversions rock. I wish I hadn't had to sell my univega conversion, but it was way too small for me, in the end, and I needed some cash.... one of these days I'll build up a new one. with bullhorns. because they rock. sweet bike.

here are my bikes. The univega I sold off, sadly. I loved it, but it was too small and was kind of, well, shaky in general. And I was pouring too much money into it, so I gave myself a birthday present, a new pake, bullhorns and all. sorry for the low quality pics. I snapped them quick, and then my camera broke. When I get a new camera and some nice sunlight, I'll take some glamour shots.
