Nishiki Linear convert

This is my daily commuter. Its an 80s Nishiki TT frame rolling on my SS mt bike wheel set. Mustach bars wraped in leather and twine finish for old skrull look along with Brooks copper pro saddle. The wheel set consists of White Ind Eno disc and disc fr on Salsa Delgato Cross 36 hole hoops laced 4 cross w/DT spokes. The Boone cog is mounted to the disc side for a no strip fix! This bike came to me from a co-worker that had had it in his garage for 10+yrs. It was compleat w/ aro wheelset , 105 and biopace cranks. It sill had the original cable housings and brake pads.

Is the Langster Pro the same frame as a langster but with a corbon fork? What about the other components, are they upgraded? On the stock model I mean, dont know if you've swapped anything out on yours...

auk 12-04-06 07:30 AM

No, the Langster Pro is a much better frame.

Ha! Yeah, I am waiting for my new stem to show up so I can rewrap and plug the bars.

i don't think so. i like drops better on that bike since it is pretty tall. i really only use the horns for sprinting or climbing, most of the riding in the city is with my hands up by the stem.

Stripped it down so far. I am trying to use the origanl cranks becasue i think they are cool and it's cottered so i dont want to deal with that. Got a front wheel on the way, am still looking for a rear wheel. I have bars on the way, and am not looking forward to opening up the back to fit a 120mm. Advice welcome.

I've always wondered what it would be like to have one of those. There was one on eBay recently, and I would have got it in a heartbeat if it weren't so GD expensive.

"How's the bike feeling, Mike?"
-"Great! Matter of fact, it's Faggin'!"

Or "Faggin' super" or "Faggin' awesome." Just "Faggin'" is the best, though. Anybody? I loves it.

Faggin is high-end stuff and I've always heard it pronounced "Fajz-zen" but I doubt anyone really calls it by it's proper name.
