something about lots of jazz musicians always saying hip or hepcat and then the people that didn't really know what was up but thought they did were labelled hipsters...then the hippies...which seem to be even worse...and it's all came back around now... i think i had an experience with a hipster once, he looked the part. i saw this guy ride by on a bike that looked like a fixed gear (i was still in my parking lot, had to lock my door, put my keys in my bag and mount my steed)...it was i found out once i caught up to him at a light...he could barely track stand, we were going down a fast and large lengthy hill i never once saw him skid, skip/hop or anything, NO brake, he DID do a trackstand for about 20 seconds...he was a dick too. it was real windy so i commented to him on that once he rolled up to the next light (i got there first), he just looked at me, then looked at my bike and didn't say a word so i ****ed with him after that. i let him get ahead of me so i could watch his ass gyrate on the seat because he had it up too high and he was trying to drop me :D so i hop up to a trackstand at the next light right next to him and look at him, he puts his foot down and waits for it to get clear...after that he started blowing through the lights. it was funny, he was on a very clean Gios Torino track frame with black plastic pedals with reflectors...atleast he had some straps, jeez. maybe he was scared of me because i have a conversion and it says Faggin on it ;) |

If you at least can say "Choach" without sounding too American then you're on the right track.
Anyway, I'd like to get a Ciöcc just to hear other riders botch the pronunciation. |

No, seriously, turdcupcakes of poop. I have already broken a clip. Also the locknut(if you could call it that) is aluminum, so it is a huge pain overhauling them without stripping the flats. My experience has been less then stellar. Maybe with metal clips and a better spindle they would work better. New pedals are in the works.

had it on, in fact. Might look alright on a black stem, though. In any event, I don't know if they're still making these stems anymore, because Nashbar seems to be getting rid of the few 130s that they have left. Any other source for these? |
borrachobandito...what's the width of your bar? That defeinately looks like a slicing traffic bar.

I forget how stupidly short they are, it is totally pointless to have them so narrow. But even with them cut like that it is still comfortable being on the bike all day.

Also, the ability to adjust your fore/aft position is a godsend that you won't find on traditional clip n' strap combos. The Dura-Ace version sells for astronomical prices and the 105s aren't too far off performance-wise for a fraction of the cost.
they are nice pedals but worthless without cleats. judging from the bar/tire setup this bike isn't going to be used with cleats. |

Eventually I got some cleats and continued to place in the middle of the pack. |

Eventually I got some cleats and continued to place in the middle of the pack. good for you. With cleats that is a really nice pedal design. Without it is probably the worst non-clipless design I have ever ridden on. The create horrible pressure spots, lack good lateral support due to the narrow front, don't hold your foot down well do the wiggle room this lack of support allows. That is what I was reffering to by worthless without cleats. |

The wheels are great, stiff and light. Trued them when I got them and haven't had to touch them since.
