Seriously, more Yamaguchi pics. Jesus would ride that bike.

joelv 02-06-07 06:48 PM

Yeah, it's a rare bike that could follow the Colnago track and still elicit a gasp. That Yamaguchi is inspiring.

paddrock 02-06-07 08:58 PM

Yamaguchi

That bike is bananas. I can't stop staring at it. I've been to Yamaguchi's site 3 times since I left work. Im getting more and more agitated about that bike. Im nearly...furious with the goodness of that bike.

newo 02-06-07 10:10 PM

DoshKel 02-07-07 06:54 PM

Thanks a lot Dustin :).

Still in Tampa wanting to be in Tally haha.

I'm saving up big time to move there. Well... after I buy the group i'll start :). Hope to be there after summer semester.

You still in CO? Heard there is some nasty weather over there.

CDP 02-07-07 07:17 PM

top tube thing?

Stupid question after looking at all these sweet rides...

Why or what is that ring of tape or rubber, etc, - on many of the toptubes of fixies?

It's like a collar (usually an inch or two wide) that I'm seeing on many bikes..

what is is?

So if you crash, your handlebars dont dent your frame.

el twe 02-07-07 07:20 PM

Protects the TT from dings/dents caused the bars swinging into it.

barba 02-07-07 07:21 PM

It doesn't even take a crash. Without a brake cable to slow down the swing of the bars, you can put a pretty good dent in a thin top tube just having the bars whip around.

CDP 02-07-07 07:30 PM

Thanks all, thought I'd be crucified for asking, makes sense.

Since I'm running f&r brakes on mine, guess I won't need it.

onetwentyeight 02-07-07 07:59 PM

you might not, but ive seen people something around the down tube where the brakes would impact in a crash where the wheel was turned severely.

Serendipper 02-07-07 08:49 PM

I like a place to throw a lock around if I need it. Doubtful I will be locking up any nice bikes in my future, though.
